Mieko Mintz’s sophisticated clothing designs combine ancient Indian Kantha stitching techniques with a contemporary color and design sensibility. Each piece is reversible and unique – no two are ever alike.
Kantha cloth is an ancient Indian tradition of stitching two or more vintage saris together giving them to new life and purpose. Each year Mieko curates over 7000 saris gathered from all across India to choose 1200 pairs which she will make into her elegant reversible garments – each one a unique blend of love and skill stitching many lives together.
